uTorrent – The No. 1 BitTorrent Client

uTorrent is a small, but at the same time incredibly well developed BitTorrent client, and it is the most widely used. The program was released in 2005 and, since then, it has been in continuous active development.

All of the features available in other BitTorrent clients are also available in this one. Some of the most important features that should be mentioned include the following – scheduling, bandwidth prioritization, RSS auto downloading and Mainline DHT. Not to mention the fact that it supports the Protocol Encryption joint specification, as well as peer exchange.

Another good thing about uTorrent is that it is resource-friendly, as it was written with effectiveness in mind. What makes it different from other torrent clients is the fact that it does not hog important system resources. This torrent client usually uses less than 6MB of memory, allowing you to use the PC as if it were not even there at all.

In addition, the program has less than 220 KB in size. Therefore, it will be available for use even with older machines, having great functionality and minimal use of resources as its main advantages; even though it is small, its efficiency is comparable to larger BitTorrent clients and it even surpasses them.

Toolbar graphic, different icon and status icon replacement are also available. Even creating your own is more than easy. The program also comes equipped with a language file, allowing the user to switch to his or her own language right away. You can also have the possibility to add your own language, if it is not already available. And editing other already existing translations is also possible.

We strongly recommend that you try it out, as we are more than confident that the program will definitely live up to your expectations. The uTorrent has received nothing but good reviews for its performance, stability, feature set and support for older versions of Windows, so you will not regret using it.
